Carrabec Community School

I am excited for the start to the 2017/18 school year. I have spent a great deal of time over
the summer meeting with the staff here at CCS. I can feel their energy and enthusiasm and
look forward to a successful school year.
The custodians have done a great job cleaning and preparing our school for the return of our
students. Our grounds keeper has kept up nicely with the lawns, shrubs and flowers, giving
our school a nice, well groomed, welcoming look.
On August 29th, we held our 6th grade parent night. It was a great turn out and our 6th grade
team and specials introduced themselves and informed parents on student needs and
expectations for the school year.
CCS students are kicking off the fall sports season with 4 of our students joining Madison for
football. We also have a total of 27 students participating in soccer and cross country with 3
home schooled students joining us
August 30th we opened our doors to returning students. It is great to see all of the students
back in their classrooms and engaging in learning activities. The weather has been warm and
sunny for the start of our school year. We hope it continues that way through September.
