BOARD MEMBER REMOVAL FROM OFFICE

Any Board Member absent for two consecutive regular meetings, without notification (prior to or within 24 hours after the meeting) to the Chair or to the Superintendent, will be sent a letter by the Chair stressing the need for regular attendance at Board meetings. After three (3) consecutive absences from regular meetings (with or without notification), a reminder will be sent to the Board Member by the Chair, with a copy to the appropriate town official, stressing the need for regular attendance.

The Minutes of each meeting will show if notification had been given to the Superintendent or to the Chair.

When a Board Member is no longer a resident in the town in RSU #74 from which elected, the seat held by that Member will be vacated by the RSU #74 Board.

Whenever a vacancy exists, the Superintendent will notify the appropriate town official. A replacement to fill the vacated position should be selected by the Town Selectmen. A copy of the Oath of Office must be presented to the Superintendent or Chair of the RSU #74 Board of Directors.
