Re: Principal’s Report

Carrabec High School

 Freshmen Orientation took place on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. Students arrived at

12:00 p.m. and ended the day with a meal for the freshmen and their parents. It was great

day for our new students to get acquainted with their teachers and staff, navigate their

way around the school without upper classmen around, learn about our school rules and

procedures and have some fun.

 As of August 24, 2017, we have enrolled seven new students. Total enrollment 204

 Our Freshmen Academy was a huge success with sixteen students attending. Students

engaged in literacy and math activities. All expenses were covered by our GearUp Grant.

 Our annual College Academy took place the week after school got out. Students

participated in three days of college readiness activities and culminated in the purchase of

college textbooks for the students who participated. All expenses were covered by our

Gear Up Grant.

 Homecoming events will take place the week of September 25, 2017, culminating with

soccer games on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Students will be participating in Spirit

week, earning points for their class. Please check our website for more details.

 Open House will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Parents will follow their students schedule, meet their teachers and learn about the

curriculum and expectations after a brief informational meeting in the cafeteria.
