Your continued investment in Carrabec athletics and extracurriculars is evident and always appreciated! Superintendent Campbell, Principal Dostie, Principal Case, and Operations Director Roux have provided amazing support throughout the fall sports season, resulting in countless opportunities for students in grades six through twelve to develop perseverance, overcome challenges, and experience achievement. 

Congratulations to our girls’ and boys’ soccer teams for earning the fourth and fifth rankings and for their performance in the post-season! Three Carrabec players were selected for the East-West Conference All-Star Team! Additionally, our boys’ cross country team won the East-West Conference Championship and two of our runners were selected for the MVC Conference second team! 

There will be a coaches meeting for high school winter coaches on November 13 followed by our “Meet the Coaches” night for all parents and players interested in playing high school winter sports. Pre-season basketball begins on Monday, November 17. Middle school basketball signups opened on Tuesday, October 28. Middle school basketball practices will begin on Wednesday, November 12.

Oct. 4 @ Belfast All CHS runners ran their fastest 5k times in the elite race and the Festival of Champions unseeded race, competing against 250 - 350 runners in each race. 

Oct. 8 @ Dirigo 2 CHS runners ranked 2nd and 4th place 

Oct. 14 @ UMA East-West CHS boys won the meet as a team, placing 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th, and Championship 19th. Carrabec girls’ runners placed 2nd and 10th! 

Oct. 18 @ UMA MVC CHS finished 6th as a team. One boy runner ranked 9th and Championship earned MVC 2nd team all-conference. One CHS girl runner also ranked 9th and earned MVC 2nd team all-conference! 

Oct. 25 @ Twin Brook Regional CHS boys placed 8th as a team (out of 13). Two boys placed 11th and Regional Championship 23rd, qualifying them for the State Championship! CHS girls had one runner finish 35th (out of 90 runners)

Performing Arts 

The SpongeBob Musical performances are scheduled for November 14th at 6:30pm and November 15th at 2:30pm at the high school. Tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the show: $5 for adults, $2 for students and seniors. Six vocal and instrumental students auditioned for the KV Honors Music Festival on October 22nd. There will be a chorus and band concert at CHS on December 16, time TBD. The winter chorus and band concert at CCS is currently being scheduled.
