Congratulations to some of our football players for being recognized at the All Conference Team! Congratulations to all and great job representing the Carrabec Community!

The basketball season is in full swing, and we are excited to report that both our boys’ and girls’ teams have jumped out to a fantastic start. The hard work and dedication of our athletes and coaches are evident in their strong performances thus far.

The season began with both teams traveling to Richmond, where they had a great showing. The boys secured a decisive victory with a score of 32-21, while the girls dominated their game, winning 61-20.

Following this, the teams participated in the East/West Conference Playday at the Augusta Civic Center for their next countable games. Once again, both teams emerged victorious, with the boys winning 46-33 and the girls earning a 53-27 win.

Our first home game of the season was against Forest Hills, and it proved to be another success for both teams. The boys pulled off a hard-fought victory with a score of 52-41, while the girls secured a thrilling win in a close match, ending 61-56.

Both teams did have a hiccup when they played Valley at home, with both teams experiencing losses. However, we look forward to meeting up with them again in the coming weeks.

With these games in the books, our girls' team is currently sitting in second place in the Class C South standings, and our boys are in third.

For the East-West Mathematics, David Dixon is the overall high scorer for the entire league with a perfect score on both of the first two meets. Desmond Robinson is the top scoring senior so far. A bright note for the future is that we have 6 out of the top 10 sophomores in the league!

As you can see, our basketball and mathematics teams have had a strong start to the season, and we are looking forward to more competitive action in the weeks ahead. Thank you for your continued support of our athletics and extracurricular programs and our student-athletes!  GO COBRAS!!!
