Robert Demchak, Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.

Directors Present: Judi Dunphy, Robert Demchak, Troy Dunphy, Heather Longley, Grace Carreiro, Ellen McQuiston, Michael Cahill, Dwight Barron, Kevin Sousa, David Royce, Bobbi Sue Harrington, Valerie Pinkham, Robert Lindblom, Laura Layman, and Deron Whittemore.

Directors absent with notification: None

Staff Members Present: 4

Students Present: 8

Citizens Present: 20

Agenda Item #1 ADJUSTMENTS TO THE AGENDA

None

Agenda Item #2 TO SEE IF THE BOARD WILL ENTER INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION (CLOSED TO PUBLIC) MRS – TITLE 1, CHAPTER 13, SUB CHAPTER 1, SS 405.6.E. – CONSULTATION WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT ATTORNEY ABOUT RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE SCHOOL BOARD.

Upon motion by Deron Whittemore and seconded by Troy Dunphy the Board voted by unanimous consent to enter in executive session at 6:02 pm.

The Board entered back into regular session at 7:33 pm.

Action as a result of executive session.

Robert Demchak, Board Chair stated “We the RSU #74 School Board acknowledge we left the public feeling unheard last week and we apologize. However, we also support our administration.”

Agenda Item #3 Public Participation

“The RSU #74 Board of Directors will follow RSU #74 School Board Policy BEDH/KD in that public participation will be limited to no more than 30 minutes in total length and that all comments at a regular meeting may deal with any topic related to the Board of Directors’ conduct of the schools. The Board of Directors shall give due attention to comments and contributions from the audience but shall not respond or take any immediate action.
