STUDENT ADMISSIONS TO/WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

ADMISSION OF NON-RESIDENT STUDENTS

Non-resident students may be accepted as tuition students subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Schools.

The Superintendent may waiver the tuition fee for children of non-resident staff members as long as there are no unusual expenses incurred by RSU #74 as a result of the waiver. Students accepted under this section will pay a yearly supply fee determined by the Superintendent which will be based on the prior years per pupil cost for instructional supplies at the appropriate level. The initial placement of students accepted under this section will not be able to cause a tuition paying student nor a student whose parents live in RSU #74 to be dropped from an academic class nor from an extra-curricular activity.

The Superintendent may make arrangements with a neighboring Superintendent to accept a non-resident student in RSU #74 when the Superintendents determine that arrangement is in the best interest of the student.
