VISITORS TO SCHOOLS

MILITARY RECRUITMENT OF STUDENTS AT CARRABEC HIGH SCHOOL

1.) Each recruiter will be allowed two (2) formal visits each school year at Carrabec High School. One of these formal visits could involve the use of the main lobby for part of a day in order to demonstrate displays, show films, and distribute brochures.

2.) At an individual student’s request, with parent permission if not 18, a recruiter may visit said student during the school day. Such visits shall be at a time when the student is free from classes, if at all possible.

3.) The RSU #74 School Board encourages military recruiter visits but such visits must be approved through the Superintendent or designee.

4.) The only military test administered at Carrabec High School will be the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).

5.) Students may be excused from school for the purposes of testing. Students will obtain a visitation form from the Guidance Office that requires parental permission and teacher acknowledgment of the absence. Students are responsible for all missed assignments and make-up work, and for obtaining all related information from their teachers.
